OMG, what fun we had.  Just got back from a 12-day cruise from San Diego to Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Ixtapa, and Manzanillo.  My husband Wes and I went with my in-laws Audrey and Wayne.  We had a great time sailing, snorkeling, ATVing, Banana Boating, Horse Back Riding, Visiting Archaeological Sites and just laying and drinking cervesa’s  on the beach.  Hope you enjoy the photos and please excuse the quality, most are from the disposable water cameras.

I have been looking forward to this wedding for some time now.  What a great day and an even better evening was spent with this sweet couple.  Quintin,  a handsome Pro Baseball Player invited many of his long time and new athletic buddies.  Priscilla is a stunning beauty and so are her friends.  The whole event was full of good looking and good natured family and guests!  And talk about your fun receptions!!!!  The dancing from this crowd was crazy fun from the Soul Trains to the Salsa’s.  Priscilla and Quintin  have dated since they were 15 years old and were meant for each other.  Everyone there could bask in their love.   Thank you both for such a great experience.

OMG, look at these two UC Santa Cruz grads!  We had a great afternoon at Balboa Park starting at the Organ Pavilion and ending up in the Cactus Gardens.   I can’t wait to take their images at the Westgate Wedding in April.  Thanks for the fun day you two!

My first wedding of the year and what a fun one it was!  We started off at the Marriott, transferring to church where this Catholic Priest was one of the best ever.  He started by involving all the guest by singing, clapping  and stomping feet.  We then continued back to the Marriott and finally to Admiral Kidd where we were able to take advantage of the “Blue Moon”.   Thank you Corina and Shawn for the great start to a new year.

December 30 was “once in a blue moon”, literally!  And once in a blue moon  is when Eliza and Bing had their wedding.  What a good time for all their family and friends.  From the enchanting Sheraton Harbor Island to the always eye catching Admiral Kidd’s Club.  Good luck you two!

Talk about your Indian Summers in December!  Today was warm at sea and warm at heart for special couple Diana and Derrick onboard their Wedding Yacht, the Ambassador.  We started the morning at the charming Crown Plaza in Irvine and then a short transfer to Newport Beach for their wedding nuptials at sea.  Could not have been a better day.  They drank Champaign and danced the afternoon away with friends and family.  Everywhere you looked you had a fantastic view of the bay.  Awe… what a great day.  Thank you both for sharing it with us.

It rained, but it did not matter on this wonderful wedding day for this amazing couple.  This day was full of their friends and family, 200 of them!  The boys were a blast and willing to do anything for their best buddy Jun.  The girls were all so beautiful as was the bride.  They had a lovely ceremony at the extraordinary Immaculate at USD.  The perfectly appointed reception room at the Mission Valley Hilton was a hit with all their guest.  The reception had great entertainment including Tahitian and Hawaiian Dancers.  Jen and Jun, thank you  for sharing your perfect day with us.

When I woke up Sunday morning, I was a bit worried about the weather, would it rain?  No it did not, the day was perfect just like the bride and groom.  As a matter of fact, the clouds in the sky were very dramatic enhancing the pictures.  Mike (who loves to have his picture taken) and his groomsmen where a blast.  Ashley (a Grace Kelly look-a-like) and her amazing bridesmaids where equally as fun.  What a great event, thank you so much for allowing me to be your photographer!

Kimberly and Clint’s Wedding at the Carlton Oaks Country Club and Guardian Angels Catholic Church on December 5, 2009.

The ceremony took place at Guardian Angels Catholic Church and pre and after ceremony photos were taken at the Carlton Oaks Country Club in Santee.  If I had to use one word to describe Kim and Clint as well as their wedding day,  it would be spiritual.  Their commitment for each other along with their friends and family was inspirational.  What a great way to begin December!

Key Points: Dressing for an Engagement Photo Session

  • Simplicity is the key
  • Solid colors are best.  Avoid large or bold patterns and bright colors.  They draw attention away from the face.
  • Color will reflect back onto your face. 
  • Black is always classic as well as timeless and will hide water spots when a session is at the beach.
  • Long sleeved dresses and shirts are recommended.  They draw attention away from the arms and focus it on the face. 
  • Darker clothing tends to minimize body size, and light tones tend to emphasize body size.
  • Men, avoid 5 O’clock shadow, shave just before the session
